About Logic Frontier Academy

Jirbert is an enthusiastic chess instructor with a deep passion for the game. He picked up the game of chess at a very early age and he was a professional chess player during his childhood and teenage years. He has approximately four years of experience teaching children the game of chess.

Besides being a chess instructor, he has experience teaching programming and robotics to kids and he has been a coach in the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) program where his team has placed 2nd in a regional competition in 2025. With his experience in chess, programming, robotics, and STEM education, Jirbert is committed to helping kids improve their critical thinking skills and boost their confidence.

This chess program is intended to aid kids in becoming better, more confident and intelligent chess players. While learning how to play chess, students will be able to develop other skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, concentration, patience, and decision making.

Chess classes will include various elements of chess including tactics, middlegame, openings, endgame, and game analysis. Moreover, our students will get chances to prepare for competition games through various practices and games analyses.

For those kids who are attending their first chess tournaments, we know that it may be quite an adventure. We will try to make sure that our instructors attend the tournaments with kids to give advice and guidance to our inexperienced players.
