Does my child need experience?+
No prior experience is needed, but it helps if they already know how the pieces move.
What should they bring?+
Nothing. Just enthusiasm for chess!
Can we try one class first?+
Yes, we offer one free trial class so your child can see if Logic Frontier Academy is a good fit. Trial classes are scheduled by appointment.
How much does it cost?+
$100 for a 1-hour weekly class.
When are the classes?+
Class days and times are scheduled as needed. Sign up or contact us and we'll share the next available session.
What happens in a typical class?+
Endgame and middlegame strategy are taught, with chess puzzle practice and study of educational games by grandmasters. Students' own games are analyzed.
Where can I park?+
Street parking is available, plus a dedicated drop-off zone in front of the building.
Can I drop off my child?+
Yes — drop-off is welcome. Many parents run errands, visit the local library, or grab coffee while class is in session.
How and when do I pay?+
Payment is due on the 1st of each month ($100/month). We accept cash, Zelle, and Venmo.
What if my child misses a class?+
Makeup sessions are offered when multiple students miss a session.
What ages do you teach?+
We teach children ages 5 and up.
Is this for beginners?+
Yes! Beginners are welcome. No prior tournament or academy experience is required.
How big are the classes?+
Classes are limited to 10 students to ensure personal attention.
Do you prepare kids for tournaments?+
Yes. We offer tournament training and attend events with students, including support for first-time competitors.
